It would have been interesting to see how these cereals stacked up against an old fashioned “cereal” such as oatmeal.
I have to wonder why a cereal marketed as being good for your heart is #2 highest in sugar, #2 highest in calories, #2 highest in carbs and #3 in fat. In what way exactly is it good for your heart?
Most cereals that describe themselves as ‘heart healthy’ or something similar base it on the fact that they can lower cholesterol because they have no cholesterol. In reality, almost no cereals have cholesterol because cholesterol is found mainly in animal products like eggs or bacon.
