E-Books vs Real Books [infographic]

August 7, 2010 |  by  |  Tech

The first time I opened my laptop in a college class I took at look at the gigantic textbook sitting next to me and thought, “why the hell are we still using these huge books when I have a portable computer right next to me?” In fact, just today, Bill Gates commented that in five years, the best education will come from the web. So why are students still paying for college?

I don’t have all the answers to life, but what I do have is an infographic that highlights the difference in price between real books and e-books. If you feel the need to read this on paper, print out this article. Better yet, don’t do that — that’s bad for the environment. [Via]

13.99 for an e-book? Way to much for me. I am a librarian, a teacher, and read read all the time. Go to the library – books are free. Or purchase them at Half Price Books or even on Amazon, it’s way cheaper. I never even paid 26.99 for a textbook. Bad information on this one.
