From their fascination with bright lights, to their ability to defy gravity, I have determined cats are actually pretty awesome.

Cats are also extremely mysterious and independent when compared to other household pets. They usually have no problem hanging out alone all day. Even to this day I still cannot figure out what cat’s are all about. Luckily, today’s infographic explains some of the strangest facts that cats have to offer.

Hopefully today’s infographic will help you better understand your cat and all of its quirks and screws that it has to offer. Even though cats can be a bit sour and anti-social, they are nothing but animals that are looking to be loved. [via]

Top 10 Lotto and Bingo Winners [infographic]

The lottery has been awarding lucky winners with fat stacks of cash for years. I always wonder what the winners do with all of their money. Do they lose all of their friends to greed, give it to charity or maybe claim the prize anonymously and become a closet millionaire? MegaMillions just had one of their biggest prizes of all time, I know a lot of people who bought a loto ticket for the first time. They all lost…

Like the lottery in the media, Bingo has also had a resurgence. By moving away from the older demographic and having a BYOB friendly atmosphere – my generation is getting interested. The greatest thing is when a normal night out could cost forty or fifty bucks, coming home with a few hundred extra dollars is more than welcomed. [123BingoOnline]

Good Carbs vs. Bad Carbs [infographic]

Summer’s here, it’s time to get the washboard abs. But did you know switching from white bread to whole grain bread can significantly boost your ability to shred fat and pack muscle? Yeah, listen up. I don’t have a nutrition degree, and I’m definitely not the master of diet, but I know quite a bit from experience. So I’m going to give you my suggestions on carbs.

I agree with most of the science on here, but it’s a little extreme to label the carbs as simply ‘good’ or ‘bad’. Let’s face it, blueberry muffins are freaking delicious… to me those are ‘amazing’ carbs.

There is some truth to these labels however. Low glycemic index foods are better for your overall health due to the way they propogate through the body. Lots of simple carbs will mess with insulin levels, which will cause headaches and all sorts of other problems. Complex carbs will keep your energy up for extended periods of time, which is necessary for good workouts and staying alert at school or work. Hopefully you already know all of this. If you don’t, I’d suggest researching more about carbohydrates.

So what to do? I’m sure as hell not going to swap my ice cream for legumes! Nobody wants to quit their lifestyle cold turkey. Here’s my suggestion: make a conscious effort to increase good carb intake while still allowing those bad carbs occasionally for a little fun. Increase the amount of water you’re drinking, that alone will dramatically improve your insulin regulation. I believe (from my own statistical analysis) that over 80% of The United States is dehydrated. [Via]

Money & The Food Industry [infographic]

It’d be an understatement to say America loves food. The food industry is one of the most lucrative in the country and the big wigs of fast food chains are raking in the doe, while their foot soldiers run the business essentially. A fast-food worker is regarded to as the lowest median paying job in the U.S., according to the infographic. Getting paid between $6.80 and $7.90 an hour, members of the food service industry are forced to work a little harder for extra cash.

The tip. It’s a word known to rear it’s head around the close of a meal. On average, we tip 17.5%. The infographic also left some pointers for getting a higher tip percentage. Things as simple as a touching the shoulder of the customer and squatting to be at eye level while talking could get you that little extra. What defines a good tip to you? And how does one obtain it? Instagram Addict [infographic]

This infographic might as well be “how to spot any one of my friends who happen to all be instragram junkies.” Instagram is my favorite iPhone (and now android I suppose) app. It turns any average joe, like myself, into a fake photographer. While instagram talent isn’t something to marvel too hard at, it is a fun, creative way to share your life in pictures.

I know many people who constantly keep their phone at eye level, take far to many pictures of meals, pets and nature, and I know I have definitely ran into a car or a wall while taking a photo. Does this mean we are all photographer wanna be’s? I think not (at least in my case). My pictures are far from professional, as I am not a professional. But peaks inside other people’s lives are always amusing, so if you want a peak follow me @chelseykilzer ! [Via]
