Dogs, cats, turtles, wolves, you name it, someone has had it as a pet. But do you know what the top ten pets are? As you might have guessed dogs are ranked number one closely followed by cats. Personally, I consider dogs to be the best pet, cats, to put it bluntly, just aren’t as fun. A cat in my opinion is only cute when it is a kitten, where a dog simply becomes distinguished as they age.
Currently I own fish, a turtle, and a dog, I have to say out of all of them my dog is the clear winner. While some of the pets are just fun to sit back and observe, a dog allows for interaction, play, relaxation. On a bright sunny day is there anything better than going for a walk with your dog? Perhaps taking a tennis ball and playing a game of fetch? Name one other pet that you can easily do that with, that’s right, you can’t think of one can you?
All animals are great and should be appreciated, but the dog just ranks amongst the best. I realize this has become a rant about how awesome dogs are, but it is hard for it not to when they are so awesome. Whatever your pet of choice may be I’m sure they make good company. Neglecting a pet is never good and if you know of one that’s suffering, please, do your part and do what you can to help them. [via]Share This Infographic

I hope you go vote tomorrow, but if you don’t, it is okay — I’m not. Yup, I forgot to register in the town I go to college in. I know I’m a bad American, but the polls will be closed by the time I could get up to my original voting precinct tomorrow.
Why we don’t have a holiday on election days is something I don’t understand. What our country is based on is democracy, the choice of the people, yet school and work get in our way. I most definitely would make the drive up to vote if I had school off tomorrow, but I don’t. I’m not going to disassociate myself with all of the blame — I could have done more.
Get mad at me, tell me I should have registered in my city, tell me I should of voted early. Sorry, it slipped my mind. It slips the mind of thousands of Americans all the time. Voting doesn’t happen often. I also think having election days off would help us be more patriotic, it could be like another Fourth of July except we celebrate our present democracy, not just the past.
Australia has election days off, but they also force every one of their 18 or older citizens to vote by law. If they don’t vote, without a reason for not voting, they can be fined. I kinda don’t agree with this. It is a person’s choice to vote or not. I would rather uninformed people not vote than be forced to and just vote for random things. [Via]Share This Infographic
¡Hola! I hope all of you had a great time this Halloween weekend, I know I did. As most of you may know, Facebook has been one of the quickest growing companies of all time. Not only does Facebook dominate the internet, but it has intertwined itself into our every day lives, both social and business. Originally Facebook started out being only for college students, but as time has passed and it has become more popular, Facebook’s opened up and now everyone and their mom has a Facebook page.
For many of you this may be old information, but have you ever stopped to think about how big and powerful Facebook has become? I for one, had never stopped to try and visualize how the powerhouse compared to other things, for example something as obscure as country populations. This infographic does just that. When we look at the Facebook population compared to the populations of other countries, China and India are the only countries left to have larger populations than that of Facebook. However, Facebook continues to grow at the remarkable rate of 21 million new users per month.
These numbers are staggering for any company, but considering Facebook has been around for less than a decade, it makes the numbers that much more impressive. I will admit that I held out on getting a Facebook page for as long as possible, but today Facebook pervades too much of society that you are sure to miss out on something by not being on it. This site in fact owes much of its success to the simplicity and convenience Facebook offers in the marketing department. Facebook is word of mouth for the digital age. [via]Share This Infographic
