I just recently joined LinkedIn. I hope to improve my profile in the next few years so it looks professional when I try to get a job. This graphic says that 80% of people use LinkedIn to recruit new employees — it seems more and more evident that I need to have a killer LinkedIn page. Let’s take a look at what else LinkedIn has to offer. [Via]

I want to eat healthy, but it is hard when all of the bad stuff is so cheap. It doesn’t help that America seems to not care about what is added into our food. Some of the side-effects of these additives are scary.

The food that my university provides must be packed full of these gross things, but there isn’t anything I can do about it. After reading this infographic, I know there will be at least one additive that you never knew existed in your food. [Via]

Walmart Is A Monster [infographic]

I never shop at Walmart except when I have no other option down in San Marcos. The prices are pretty good, but so are HEB’s prices. I don’t understand why so many people go to Walmart when plenty of other stores have as good or better prices. It just seems like they don’t treat their employees well and in-turn, their customers well. But there is one good thing about Walmart, the people that do go.

I always knew Walmart ones one of the biggest companies in the nation, but I could never fathom how easily it dwarfs its closest competitors. [Via]

Happy 4th of July! I’m headed to the lake on this beautiful sunny Texas day. Completely unrelated to this holiday is today’s infographic. I thought it would be interesting to take a look at all the diets that you might be trying after this holiday is over.

Keep in mind that the only weightloss plans that actually work aren’t diets at all. They are a lifestyle changes that you must stick with your entire life. That doesn’t mean you can pig out on hotdogs today. Start your weightloss plan later….right? [Via]

Centuries ago on the fourth of July 1776, an entire country celebrated their independence from an unruly foreign government. From that moment on, the United States of America has grown into one of the biggest super powers this planet has ever seen.

I still don’t know what I’m doing this fourth of July, but hopefully it involves beer and fireworks. Let’s take a look at the impact this holiday has on our country. [Via]
