Having clients queueing for your work sounds like a dream come true for many of us. Still, handling several clients at the same time is not an easy task. It certainly isn’t impossible, but it requires you to organize your schedules carefully. With great power comes great responsibility, as they say.
The very first thing you have to keep in mind in order to effectively deliver to all your clients is to set clear expectations from the very beginning. The core of long-lasting contracts is establishing a relationship based on loyalty and trust with your client from day one. Set clear expectations and realistic milestones you are both happy with.
The second great tip to follow is to track how much time you’re spending on each client project. Many times, we get so involved in a project we lose track of time. This is completely normal. Still, you cannot allow yourself to neglect some of your clients just because you lost track of time.
We cannot stress enough the importance of the third piece of advice we have for you: Schedule your tasks and milestones in a calendar and then plan and prioritize your tasks for the next day. Keeping an organized schedule will allow you to know, on sight, which tasks you have left and which ones you have successfully completed. It works both as motivation and pressure to get things done.
