Some of the most impressive structures from all around the world are made out of steel, as its properties make for amazingly designed structures.
Today’s infographic takes a look at ten of the most well-known steel structures from all corners of the globe.
As the infographic states, there are various benefits to using steel as a building material. It’s strong, offers a lot of design freedom, is easy to install, adaptable, 100% recyclable, fire and earthquake resistant, amongst many other things. Because of these reasons, there are a plethora of buildings that use steel in their construction.
This infographic highlights these various feats of engineering and gives information about them alongside an illustration. For example, one of the structures mentioned–and perhaps the most recognizable one–is the Eiffel Tower of Paris, built in 1889. Another one of these structures is the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This structure is newer, built in 2009, and actually holds the title of the tallest building in the world, comprised of 163 floors in its architecture.
