Many German words can be hilarious when they’re broken down into literal translation. Their animal names are not exempt from that fact. It makes me wish we had better animal names here. I’d take Threatening Chicken over Turkey, or Lazy Animal over Sloth anyday. It just makes the animal realm seem more human when their characteristics and looks go into their name.
