Quick Guide To Delete Yourself From The Internet

Do you know who has your info and how they got it? If you’re thinking about taking your personal info into your own hands, here’s how to delete yourself from the internet (or at least, 99% of it).

Lately, privacy has been a controversial topic. Who knows what and how they acquired that information has leaped from simple gossip to national security threats. Are you invested in your privacy?

Globalization and the digital era have only recharged a process that had centuries in the making. Nevertheless, regardless of the specific causes, it’s impossible to deny that our privacy has taken a front row seat when it comes to modern concerns. Whether you’re a die-hard fan of posting every little thing that happens on social media, or you’d rather barely have a phone, you need to be aware of what is going on with your online presence.

Most people, me among them, realized there was something a little wrong with Google´s permanent follow-ups with several Facebook and Wikileaks scandals in the last few years.

But I’m not the only one. A majority of millennials are now very concerned with the information that’s out there about them. Google, Amazon, Facebook, and Apple are aware of our shopping habits, our family composition, our taste, our ideal vacations and even know exactly what sex toys we’re regularly using. For me that’s creepy, to say the least.

In spite of the protests, regulations, and lawsuits against the big tech companies, 2 things are certain: first, they are still gathering information about their users (and FB is even gathering info on their non-users!); and second, most people are still avid internet users.

If you want to go the radical route, here’s how to delete yourself from 99% of the internet.
