I’ll admit it. I’m a little bit of a germaphobe. I carry hand sanitizer everywhere I go, and I look forward to washing my hands after shaking hands with a stranger.
This infographic gave me the heebie-jeebies: It ranks business types by hygiene level. Sandwich and take-out shops are the dirtiest, with only 42 percent of restaurants ranking “very good.” Fifteen percent of sandwich and take-out shops are rated as needing improvement.
I’m definitely thinking twice about ordering in this weekend.
Pubs, bars and nightclubs are surprisingly cleaner than sandwich places. Restaurants and cafes rank even higher, with 60% scoring very good.
On the other hand, grabbing a bite of food after a class is a great idea. Almost 90 percent of schools, colleges and universities rank “very good” on the hygienic scale.
For those going on vacation, we’ve got some good news. More than 2 in 3 hotels get an A+ from the government.
