Father’s Day Facts For Underappreciated Dads

By | source:Here Jun 20th, 2021

Moms often are known for raising kids,(probably because they often do most of the work), but Dads deserve some credit too. They may wear socks and sandals, do dorky Fred Flinstone impersonations, and embarrass us in public to no end, but you’ve gotta admit: we wouldn’t be who we are today without our dads. They teach us how to play sports, they cultivate our music taste, and they let us do things moms would never allow. And of course, we can’t forget about all the single dads and father-figure guardians who take on the work of both parents.

The majority of dads surveyed in this study believe that their kids put more effort into preparing Mother’s Day than they do preparing Father’s Day. So this Father’s Day, let’s make it our mission to change their minds! Go beyond buying the typical mug or socks and do something extra special. You can go all out and plan a family camping trip with him or just keep him company at home while he watches TV. And if you’re feeling extra nice, you can try to do the impossible: hold back your cringe and laugh at his corny jokes (“you’re telling me these jokes are made of corn?”). But that might be a bit too hard of a challenge.

At the end of the day, our dads will love us no matter what we do on Father’s Day, but for all that they do we owe it to them to make each Father’s Day one to remember.
