Chugach State Park is a state park located in the U.S. state of Alaska. It is the largest state park in the United States and covers 495,199.2 acres (2,064 km2). The park was established in 1917 with land donated by an individual, Edward Wickersham. In 1975, it became part of an expanded Chugach National Forest.[1]
Located in the National Capital Region of Canada, Gatineau Park is a popular destination for hiking, camping, and cross-country skiing. The park has over 1,000 lakes and 200 km of trails that stretch across more than 550 square kilometers (210 sq mi). Table Mountain National Park is a protected area located on the Cape Peninsula, South Africa. The park covers an area of 795 square miles (2,050 km2), making it the largest urban park in the world. Table Mountain National Park was established in 1998 as part of an effort to protect Cape Town’s natural resources. Located in Islamabad, Pakistan, Margalla Hills National Park is one of the largest urban parks in the world. The park covers 42,961.7 acres and features a diverse range of wildlife including monkeys, deer and birds. In 2013 it was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The park offers many recreational activities for visitors such as hiking trails that lead up to different viewpoints throughout it; however there are also numerous monuments within its borders including tombs from ancient civilizations such as Gandhara or Taxila
