In reality, the healthy, younger generation will always be funding a universal healthcare program, so marketing to them is a must.

CVS has also made headlines recently by banning tobacco sales in all stores. Their revenues won’t see much of a shift, and now they can say they’re a pharmacy that sells medicine and not the deadly stick of tobacco. Creating a successful PR campaign in recent years is more difficult than ever before.

With the rise of social media, quick reactions to incidents – good or bad – is essential. InterActiveCorp quickly fired their PR chief when her racy tweet proved her attitude was absolutely not an employable one.
