Girls, get off your phones and pay attention for the next 5 minutes. Why do girls send so many text messages? I fit perfectly into my age group below. In fact, I probably send less than the average male my age. Where do you stand? [Via]

Fast Food Domination [infographic]

This is pretty much our 2 month post today. Everyday for the past 61 days we have dished out information for you to eat up. I hope you’ve enjoyed it. We have till the end of the world in 2012 until I won’t have to write for y’all all the time. I’m going to miss it, but it is a sacrifice I’m going to have to take in order to go along with the apocalypse.

This graphic is about the death grip which squeezed out (or should I say stuffed?) healthy Americans. Fast food kinda sucks. It doesn’t make you feel good and it isn’t good for you. BUT IT’S SO CHEAP. Good argument. Seriously, I can spend $3.60 at Wendy’s and not finish my meal. Three Sixty and I can have a snack later? Why would I go anywhere else?

After Super Size Me, people’s opinion on McDonald’s, and fast food places as a whole has dropped. I really believe that by showing people how disgusting fast food can be,  that movie must have have saved someone’s life. I’m sure it has helped some people be more healthy. I know that if there is only a McDonald’s and nothing else I will just go hungry than eat at that place. This map doesn’t look that surprising, but once you see the color of McDonald’s you will trip. Sonic also has a huge presence. I never knew how dense Sonic was from Central Texas all the way up through Oklahoma. Don’t eat fast food. I know I need to stop, but with my college food plan, fried chicken and I will be friends for one more year. [Via]

Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus [infographic]

Sharks are known for their prehistoric roots and fatal strength. Octopuses are extremely smart. I haven’t seen the movie, so I can’t tell you who won. I’m rooting for the octopus. Sharks are too popular. Everyone is always talking about them, but octopuses never get to be in the lime light.

Well sometimes, when they start to film their own documentary with a stolen camera. Or when we learned that they actually walk on the seabed, and that they disguise themselves as coconuts using the shell. Octopuses are way cooler. [Via]

Small Things, Big Environmental Impact [infographic]

Those dumb people who say they don’t care about the environment have so many options that help themselves as well as the planet. Here are things that will save your money and your world.

Everyone getting energy saving light bulbs would save 700 Million dollars over a year. With that kind of money we could bail out a bank or none. Still, 700 Million is a huge amount.  We could throw the biggest party ever. The government just needs to have a party tax that charges the amount of money a year you personally would save with the light bulbs. Then all 300 million of us would have the best fiesta this side of the Atlantic. There is no way we could ever top Kazantip

There is something I disagree with on this graphic. The low-flow high-flow shower head idea doesn’t add up. With a high-flow I can take a much faster shower than with a low-flow. I think they need to make a medium-flow if they are really serious about saving the world. They do say that studies have shown that low-flow actually does save a hella lotta water. There are always those shows on the science channel that talk about how the world is going to run out of water soon. I’m thinking low-flow could be the key to spread out our water supply to last centuries.

At the end of this graphic they will give you a statistic that will make you actually believe we could save a lot of money and a lot of the environment.  Don’t believe it. It’s all lies. [Via]
