In honor of the Back to the Future 25 year anniversary I thought I would share this little infographic with all you readers. I remember watching Back to the Future for the first time with my mom when I was in middle school, and ever since then it has been one of my favorite trilogies. If you have not seen any of these movies, finish reading this post and then go out and buy all three of these movies!
In honor of the 25th anniversary the cast of the movies reunited on the set of the Today Show. For a clip of interview click here. Some of the information hitting the web recently includes a little known fact; Michael J. Fox was not originally cast as Marty McFly. Eric Stoltz was the original Marty and had already started filming when he found out he was to be replaced by Fox. Shockingly, the DeLorean, a failed sports car, was also not the original pick for the time machine; as a matter of fact, it was something much more silly- a refrigerator.
Some other news regarding the 25th anniversary of Back to the Future you fans may be interested in is that the trilogy is going to be released in blu-ray as a celebration. With this release we will finally be able to watch one of our favorite trilogies in hi-def, while listening to eclectic 1980s slang including the term “heavy.” Though the 1980s have come and gone and the cast has aged, Back to the Future remains a timeless classic, which will forever remain in the hearts of fans.
