You’ve probably heard someone say that the day you get married is the best day of your life. I loved every minute of my wedding, but it was also one of the most stressful times I’ve ever experienced. I still have nightmares about things going wrong, and it’s been almost two years since I got hitched.
I got pretty lucky––the worst thing that happened at my wedding was people having too much to drink. According to this infographic brought to you by WedSafe, some couples experience misfortune that puts a damper on the big day.
The most common mishap? A wedding cancellation or postponement. Whether it’s due to a runaway bride or a couple deciding marriage isn’t the best decision for them, it’s definitely best to call things off if you get cold feet. You could also have the event cancelled by the venue, which is completely out of your control.
Other bad luck includes accident or injury, issues with vendors or damage to the venue. My wedding was pretty uneventful, but not everyone is so lucky.
Why does any of this matter, anyway? If you didn’t know already, weddings are pretty expensive. There are ways to save cash, though––check out our post on the topic here.
